There’s something instantly gratifying about creating a 30sec piece of music, not all the blood,sweat and tears that goes into a crafted song, but it keeps intact all the fun vibes of an initial idea, everybody’s happy. You finish when you start, (Unless there’s actual $$ to be made, I will happily revise for hours) and you don’t over think it until your ears are burning. I was reading Jennifer Egan’s brilliant Novel “a visit from the goon squad” at the time, and could see the characters running through New York to this track, hence the clever title.
